Long term data storage¶
The CÉCI does not currently offer long-term data storage. Each cluster has a home filesystem dedicated to long-term storage code, configuration files, and a limited amount of data. Scratch spaces are designed for storing large amounts of data in the time spanned by a job, or a series of jobs. But no filesystem can be used for long-term storage of large amounts of data.
If you need long-term storage, or a dedicated backup storage space, for large amounts of data, solutions can be found within your university:
- UCL: contact the CISM team. Access to the storage facility requires a distinct CISM account and is billable.
- ULB: TBA
- UMons: no dedicated solution exists; you’ll need to resort to departmental resources.
- UNamur: contact Frédéric Wautelet. Access to the storage facility is restricted to UNamur and is billed by the year.
- ULg: no dedicated solution exists; you’ll need to resort to departmental resources.
